2. The Competition
These terms and conditions apply to all competitions listed on the Promoter’s website at https://fortuneandfacet.com (the “Website”).
The Promoter may offer different formats for competitions. Subject to clause 2.3, an entry fee is payable each time you enter.
To be in with a chance of winning, each entrant (“Entrant”) must correctly answer the question or problem set by the Promoter (the “Competition Question”).
Where the Promoter offers an easy or multiple-choice question, or where no Competition Question is asked, a free entry route will be made available.
3. How to Enter
The competition will run from the opening and closing dates displayed on the Website (“Opening Date” and “Closing Date”). All dates/times refer to London, England.
The Promoter reserves the right to change the Opening or Closing Date only where absolutely necessary. The Closing Date will never be extended solely to sell more entries.
All entries must be received before the specified Closing Date/time. Entries received after this will be disqualified with no refund.
The maximum number of entries per competition will be stated on the Website. Entries may be limited if this number is reached.
Entrants may enter as many times as they wish unless capped.
Free entries must be submitted separately by handwritten post, one per envelope. Mechanically produced or bulk entries will be counted as a single entry.
To maintain fairness and integrity, Fortune & Facet may suspend or permanently terminate any account, without notice, if this is necessary to protect users or the platform.
To enter the competition:
Visit the Website and view the Competition Question (if applicable).
Complete and submit the online entry form.
Purchase the required number of entries.
Submit your answer to the Competition Question (if applicable).
All entries must be in English.
The Promoter will email confirmation of your entry. Your ticket numbers will appear in your account dashboard.
The Promoter is not responsible for unsuccessful, lost, or delayed entries due to technical issues of any kind.
By purchasing or submitting entries, you enter a contract with the Promoter and accept these Terms & Conditions.
4. Free Postal Entry Route
You may enter for free by meeting all of the following conditions:
Send a handwritten postcard or letter (no mechanical production) via 1st or 2nd class post to:

Hand-delivered entries will not be accepted.
Include the following:
Full name
Address
Contact telephone number and email that is linked to your account
Your answer to the Competition Question (if applicable) and which competition you wish to enter
A statement confirming “I accept the terms and conditions”
All free entries must:
Be complete and legible
Be sent one per envelope
Arrive before the Closing Date (proof of posting is not proof of entry)
Match the email on an existing Fortune & Facet account
If a competition sells out before your entry is received, it will not be included.
The Promoter will not confirm receipt or correctness of any free entry.
5. Choosing a Winner
All Entrants who correctly answer the Competition Question will be entered into a random draw.
If no question is asked, all Entrants are entered.
The draw will take place within 7 days of the Closing Date (“Draw Date”).
All Entrants’ names and entry numbers may be included on a spreadsheet shown during the live draw.
If you wish to be anonymised, email support@fortuneandfacet.com at least 48 hours before the draw.
6. Eligibility
Competitions are open to UK residents aged 18 or over, excluding:
Employees of the Promoter
Anyone professionally connected with the competition
Their immediate family or household members
The Promoter may request proof of age, identity, and eligibility. Failure to provide proof may result in disqualification.
The following entries are not accepted:
Automated or bulk-generated entries
Incomplete entries
The Promoter may disqualify entrants for behaviour contrary to the spirit of the competition, including abusive conduct.
No refunds will be issued if:
You enter and later discover you are not eligible
Eligibility criteria change and you no longer qualify
You are disqualified
Any form of fraud, tampering, hacking, or misuse of the Website will void all your entries and may result in a permanent ban.
7. The Prize
Prize details are shown on the Website (“Prize”).
The Promoter makes no warranties regarding the Prize’s condition, accuracy of descriptions, or completeness of information.
Prizes may be supplied by a third-party (“Supplier”).
The Promoter may substitute a prize with a cash alternative (“Cash Prize”) if:
The original Prize becomes unavailable
Other circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control require it
Prizes are non-transferable and non-negotiable.
8. Winners
The Promoter’s decision is final.
Winners will be contacted using the details provided at entry.
If the winner cannot be reached or does not claim the Prize within 14 days, the Promoter may offer it to another eligible Entrant.
The Promoter may publish the winner’s surname and county as required by law.
You may request anonymity by emailing support@fortuneandfacet.com, but the Promoter must still provide your details to the Advertising Standards Authority if requested.
9. Claiming the Prize
Prizes must be claimed personally. They cannot be claimed by a third party.
If your contact details change, you must notify the Promoter immediately via support@fortuneandfacet.com.
Cash Prizes will be transferred to a UK bank account in the winner’s name.
Proof of account ownership may be required within 14 days.
The Promoter is not responsible if you cannot or do not take up the prize.
10. Limitation of Liability
The Promoter is not liable for:
Loss
Damage
Personal injury
Death
arising from acceptance or use of the Prize, except where caused by the Promoter’s negligence.
Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
11. Data Protection & Publicity
Personal information will be used only to administer competitions or as set out in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy.
If you win, you agree that the Promoter may use your:
Name
Image
Town/County
for reasonable promotional purposes unless you opt out prior to the Closing Date.
Winners may be required to provide additional identification.
Withdrawing consent may result in forfeiture of the Prize.
If you request full removal of your data, you will be withdrawn from the competition.
12. General
The Promoter may amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.
The latest version will always appear on the Website.
If you breach these Terms, the Promoter may exclude you from current and future competitions.
Competitions may be cancelled, suspended, or amended if necessary.
Competitions are not affected by number of entries — there is no minimum requirement.
Competitions are not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Facebook, Meta, or any social platform.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law.
The parties submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
You should print or save a copy of these Terms for your records.
